After the inaugural event in 2021, back for their fourth year, your August Bank Holiday at the Barrack Block is hosted by the vibrant, community-driven online radio station, Incapable Staircase. With a weekend schedule of live DJ sets, panel discussion and workshop activity, you are invited to climb the stairs and slide the bannister into Incapable Staircase’s auditory embrace. Get yourself up the hill for this Endless Summer weekender and be part of it.
The Incapable DJs will be collaborating through the weekend for a wholesome, uplifting live offering out of Patchwork Studios and neighbouring Garrison Gallery, simultaneously broadcasting on the station. Feauturing fresh funk from DJ Pete Daisy, Dub Delights from the Peacemaker or a journey through jazz with a squeeze of italo disco from the peninsular's own Mammoth Sessions, the Incapables will see your bank holiday weekend plans sounding all the sweeter for it.
The daytime schedule is just as juicy, with a live audience sessions, including culinary tasting tables and open floor debates. Last year's successful and moving community panel discussion is also back for another year, hosted again by the fantastically disruptive Project Coup. There will also be the launch of fresh local broadcasting talent, as Incapable Staircase showcase the recruits from The Rame.
Look out for the full schedule to be published over the coming weeks. In the meantime, get your bank holiday sorted. There are limited camping pitches remaining - why not book yourself in and make the most of this spectacular venue, signing summer off with Incapable style. Our favourite digital radio community return with eclectic shows, live broadcasts and workshops/discussions for all ages. All weekend long, free entry throughout…
