"A delightfully quirky and heartfelt adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory brought to you by Rame Peninsula’s plucky upstart, the M.A.D. Society (Maker Amateur Dramatics Society). Rewritten for a modern (and local!) audience, this version of the beloved classic follows 5 lucky ticket winners from around the Peninsula as they embark on the experience of a life-time and learn a few important lessons along the way. Guided through the mysterious factory by reclusive and eccentric Willy Wonka; the children, their guardians, and the audience are greeted by many curiosities - some that may prove to be little too hard to resist. Quippy, tongue-in-cheek-y and with a whole host of delicious little earworms, this Panto-adjacent musical features 5 original songs as well as a few nostalgic tunes that will no doubt have you laughing & crying, and singing for weeks to come.
